Who is Guy Lupien?

I am a native of Saint-Hyacinthe and I come from a family of four children. We are four brothers. I am a person who loves to lend a hand and to work. I am fascinated by science, technology, machinery and also airplanes. I consider myself to be a clown who likes to laugh and say jokes. In fact, I am a jovial person.

One word to describe you.

Easy to approach. I am an open-minded person and I am social. I like to talk to the world, it's natural for me. I also have a great listening ear. It allows me to have good discussions. Curious, I like to learn and understand how things work. I am not shy about asking questions.

What are your main roles at Ben-Mor?

I have been working for Ben-Mor for 4 years as a forklift driver. Mainly, I am there to serve the employees who need materials that are located all over the factory and I put them back in the right place afterwards. Since the start of the pandemic, I have been helping the guys from Boucherville at the distribution center. I mainly do the preparation of orders. I am taking this platform to greet everyone in Boucherville.

What do you love most about working at Ben-Mor?

What I love most about my job is the atmosphere. The people I work with are warm and very open. There is no embarrassment in asking questions to my colleagues and we enjoy working together. Everyone is friendly. You don't find a working atmosphere like this anywhere else. It really is a family feeling to work at Ben-Mor.

Can you share with us a fact about yourself that no one knows?

In 1999, I worked two weeks at Ben-Mor to help Benoit renovate the building in Lemire. I worked on the building cover and the cafeteria. I was on the payroll of the company even though I was not an employee. I would have been an employee of Ben-Mor since 1999, but during those two weeks I had applied for a job and they accepted me. I spent 18 years there before accepting a job as a forklift operator here. Not having applied, I would have agreed to work for the company at that time.

Your favorite hobby?

I love riding a motorcycle whether in Quebec or the United States. I'm in a motorcycle group, where we go out together. I love travelling. I have traveled to Mexico, Cuba, Las Vegas and a few American states. I would like to explore Hawaii and Europe. I do a lot of tinkering. I’m very manual, so I like to keep myself busy with tinkering with all kinds of things.
