Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanic (Maintenance and Servicing) performs preventive maintenance and upkeep of machines, tools, equipment, and the building and performs emergency repairs as required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze equipment breakdowns and operating problems and find solutions;
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance in accordance with ISO standards and procedures (sharpening, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, inspection, etc.);
- Make the necessary adjustments to current and future equipment (robot, stripper, press, reel, unwinder, placer, etc.) and make the necessary repairs to the equipment;
- Maintain interior and exterior buildings (offices and plants);
- Perform welding, machining, and carpentry tasks;
- Carry out commissions and purchases (ex: BMR);
- Participate in the training of new employees;
- Respect work procedures and deadlines.
Requirements
- Ability to read measurements (imperial and metric);
- Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics;
- Ability to use a vernier and other measuring instruments;
- Good physical ability;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Order and organization;
- Good learning skills;
- Resourcefulness;
- Availability (working overtime)
Position Conditions
- DEP in industrial mechanics or equivalent
- 3 years experience
- Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: $23.43-$25.17 per hour
