Worker’s Memorial Day at Barrie

Worker’s Memorial Day at Barrie

On April 28, the Barrie Team participated in the campaign to remember and honour workers who have died, been injured or suffered illness in the workplace. First introduced in 1991, the National Day of Mourning also known as Worker’s Memorial Day, has since spread over 100 countries around the world and has been adopted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) as the International Worker’s Memorial Day. It also encourages us to think of ways in which we all can help to achieve the goal of safer and healthier workplaces. Check out what’s important to us, here in Barrie!
