Acquisition of Fortune Rope & Metal

Acquisition of Fortune Rope & Metal

Ben-Mor Cables inc. “Ben-Mor”, the largest sling and cable assembly manufacturer in Canada, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Fortune Rope and Metal in partnership with Mr. Mike Sullivan, a renowned reference in the market.

A special thanks to Bill Pero, a man of his words.  Mr. Pero will help the transition to make sure all employees, customers and vendors are well served.

Founded in 1996 by Mr. Pero, Fortune Rope has become an industry-recognized supplier of aircraft cable, wire rope, chain, coated cable, stainless steel and galvanized, chain and hardware fittings to a wide range of industrial and commercial customers. Situated in three strategic locations in the United States; Bristol (Rhode Island), Bensenville (Illinois) and Jacksonville (Florida), Fortune Rope can handle the needs and requirements of customers throughout the 50 states, as well as abroad.

Now a part of Ben-Mor, Fortune Rope will continue to operate under its own brand name. “One of our key long-term objectives is to continue to provide the same excellent customer service that we have ensured over the past 30 years,” says Mr. Benoit Frappier, founder and president of Ben-Mor. The fit between the two companies is undeniable. “It was natural for Fortune Rope to continue its adventure with Ben-Mor. The entrepreneurial culture is a perfect fit in order to pursue its legacy” says Mr. Bill Pero, former owner and President of Fortune Rope.

Ben-Mor was founded in 1992 in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. The perseverance and dynamism of its 5 owners has made Ben-Mor's activities very diversified today.

In welcoming this acquisition, Ben-Mor will maintain its growth in being the major player in North America in both cable assembly and sling industries. Ben-Mor’s success is represented by the 375 employees amongst the 11 locations, aiming for the future.
