Mandy Masters continues to play a key role in the WSTDA

After serving as president for four consecutive years, Amanda (Mandy) Masters continues to play a key role within the WSTDA as the “immediate past president” of the organization. The Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) is the largest non-profit, technical organization dedicated to the safe operation of all synthetic slings and tie downs. We interviewed her about her current role to learn more about her responsibilities:

“The role as past president is to guide the current president with the task of leading the organization to always serve its members better […] under my leadership, the WSTDA has made many positive changes. It will be my responsibility to help to maintain and continue with these positive changes.”

Among those positive changes, here are some notable examples she is proud of: the introduction of a new magazine published twice a year titled Lift & Secure, the establishment of a new technical committee tasked with writing the standard for edge protection for slings and for cargo securement, as well as a new format for the in-person meeting, which will now be more of a learning experience with numerous industry speakers and presentations.

In addition to her role as the immediate past president of the WSTDA, she also serves as co-chair on the "Round Sling Technical Committee," which has recently completed the revision of standards for high-performance round slings and will be available online by the end of 2023!

Lastly, Mandy remains highly involved in industry projects, and we at Ben-Mor are fortunate to have such experienced individuals like her shaping our teams of professionals!
